Our parts are longing to connect with us; to feel seen, heard and understood. They have so much to offer if we can find a way to listen.
Are you a psychologist or therapist who would like to:
- Deepen your understanding and application of IFS?
- Gain a comprehensive map of your own internal family system?
- Connect and form strong, lasting relationships with your parts?
- Experience more self-energy in your personal and professional life?
- Release burdens that hold you back?
- Bring your very best self to your client work?
- Live your personal and professional life to the full?
If the answer is yes, then the Roots & Wings Getting to Know You Programme is for you.
What you get:
A monthly 2 hour small group where we will creatively connect with our own parts, process together and set our intentions to connect daily with at least one part over the next month (Richard Schwartz says this is how long it takes to form a true relationship with a part)
and
3 x 1:1 check-ins each week via Voxer (similar to WhatsApp, with a choice of text message or voice message) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
What you need:
- A private space where you feel safe and comfortable
- A willingness to co-create a safe and nurturing space where all our parts are welcome and we can each feel free to bring our authentic selves with no judgement or expectations
- Paper and pens
- Nice to have, but not essential:
- A4 journal or scrap book
- Artists sketch book (A3 or larger)
- A range of colour of pens, felt tips or pencil crayons for writing and drawing (no skill needed, most of mine are stick people)
- Oil pastels
- 1 exercise book per month (each part will have their own book for ongoing exploration)

About me:
I am creative, empathic, inclusive, intuitive and playful; forty-something Mum of 2 young girls; late discovered AuDHD, healing from Complex PTSD; recovering from burnout; finding peace hope and joy every day.
My life experiences, which also include chronic illness and invisible disabilities, have given me many opportunities to learn to live from self energy, which has proved invaluable in my journey with IFS and means I can bring this self energy to benefit the people I work with as well.
I love psychology and its potential to improve people’s lives. I qualified in 2012 and have had the privilege to support people through some exceptionally difficult circumstances. I’m always amazed by the resilience of the human spirit and the effectiveness of our protectors to keep us safe in the best way they know how.
My background is in Educational Psychology where I’ve been using Solution Focused approaches for over 16 years, so I have a lot of experience in valuing the client as the expert in their own life and letting go of the need to fix, formulate, interpret or even understand. It’s a huge shift from what most of us are taught in our training and I find this underlying philosophy aligns very closely with IFS.
When I first discovered IFS it lit a spark in me, and I had some profound encounters with my parts, but I quickly found that my parts would only appear in facilitated sessions (and even then they would sometimes send me to sleep!). I’ve now found ways to connect with my parts and have a good relationship with my inner champions.
I’m offering this space for others who may need structure and support to connect with their own system, who know their personal and professional life could be so much more fulfilling and transformative if they could improve their relationship with their own internal family system.
