I love so many aspects of working in private practice and yet I really miss the connection and support of having a team of colleagues around me, as well as the structure and routine of being part of a bigger system (though I definitely don’t miss the politics and rigidity!)

In the middle of each half term, the Roots & Wings Retreat in Daily Life invites you and all your parts to pause, reset and connect, so that you can gain the confidence and clarity that you need to bring your very best to your clients and to live your personal and professional life to the full


Dates for Autumn Term 2025:

1st October 10.00-16.00

19th November 10.00-16.00


Example format:

9.00 Zoom room open for optional chatting and connection

10.00-10.30 Welcome, introductions, best hopes and IFS check-in

10.40 Somatic landing

11.00 Deep listening – in pairs

11.30 IFS journaling/ creative art exploration of parts

12.10 vagus nerve reset – activate rest and digest

12.30 prepare lunch and eat together – small groups for those who want to chat, or join a quiet room for those who want silence but still feel the connection with other people

1.00 – set intentions for the afternoon

1.15 two hours to do what will most effectively fill your cup, eg take a nap, watch a film, go for a walk, paint, bake, declutter a room, batch cook, write a new course, update your website, etc etc

3.15 reconnect as a group, explore parts who came up that resisted rest and recharge

3.45 ending


What you need to bring:

A nutritious lunch (please prepare as much as you can in advance)

A journal/notebook and pens

A yoga mat, cushions and blanket (whatever you have available)

All of your parts

A willingness to co-create a safe and supportive space where we can all be our authentic selves


Investment:

£150 per retreat, or £750 for all 6 through the year
